[Theme: TwentyTwelve (Child)] My site renders incorrectly in IE8! (5 posts)

It just came to my attention that my wesite, using a Twenty Twelve child theme, displays incorrectly in Internet Explorer 8.

The background is gray, which CSS also appears to be tied to the body's font colour in the style sheet; the styling applied to the navigation bar is messed up, specifically by the links appearing black on hover and gray when active, and the separators appearing white when styled to match all other separators; and lastly, I recall tweaking some CSS that merged the separator of the body content into the separator of the footer, whch is ignored by Internet Explorer.

Any ideas of what to do?

Ruled ut the listed entries. The remaining three are unfamiliar to me; I suppose they must be errors in the Twenty Twelve theme itself, which is beyond my interference.

Anyhow, the errors I ruled out were caused by some minor issues with the customisation in my footer.

The site still renders the same in IE as previously noted.

    IE8 doesn't support media queries, I don't think there's a simple way around this.
Check if the Twenty Twelve Demo website http://wp-themes.com/ works in IE8.

Has this got something to do with CSS3 and IE8 not supporting it? I have very little experience with web coding, so pardon my ignorance.
