[Theme: twentyeleven] readjustment

Aftter much consideration I decided to make some changes to twentyeleven and adopt it to my need, which is showing off my works through (large) headers. I thought that the header is beautifully done but overall the site-title and site navbar are using too much space. So everything, the title, description and the navbar with the search could be in a single line. I have the basic idea down, except for the responsiveness. If anyone could help make changes and release the code as a plugin or an alternative theme it would be much appreciated.

Could anyone give me hint as to how I can:
1. make site-title and description in a single line
2. make the search part of the nav-bar
3. make navbar responsive in relation with the title and description.
