    I know I can do this with a custom menu in my sidebar without coding (and I’ve done that). What I want to do is disable the dropdown showing sub-pages in the Horizontal Menu in the header under the image.

    My site is here

    What do I need to add to my child theme? If so, what? Or is there a way of making my pages subpages of a page that doesn’t appear in the menu?

    You could do it the CSS way;

    #access ul li:hover > ul {
     left: -9999em;
    }

    Andrew – Thanks for that. I wasn’t sure where to put that, but I found a simple answer…. I created a dummy page with a blank title and put my pages I didn’t want to appear on the menu as children of that.
