[Theme: twentyeleven] all elements magnified - why? (8 posts)

I'm trying to integrate a WordPress blog into an existing site (http://kingsreview.soc.srcf.net). But although I'm using some of the same HTML content and CSS styling (e.g. A centred navigation bar of width 870px and links at 16px), everything is several px bigger on the blog (http://kingsreview.soc.srcf.net/blog/).

Can anyone help me understand why this is?

Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS work.

I've used firebug and can't find anything...

I can't see the difference other than the obvious layout issues.

Thanks for taking a look Andrew. I'm viewing the site on an iPad - is there any reason why that would make a difference?

(all the type is bigger on the blog site, as are the widths of all divs)

I think WordPress must resize the page for mobile browsers. Does anyone know how to adjust these settings?

  8. WordPress per se does not resize anything; if at all, things are reduced by Twenty Eleven for small screens.

does your device have any 'browser zoom' setting possibilities?
