[Theme: Twenty Twelve] Search results full width, how?

    In a child theme:

    When I search on my website the search results show up, but not in a full page width.
    I’ve already removed
    <?php get_sidebar(); ?>
    from search.php, that resulted in the sidebar disappering (good!), but the content stays fixed and doesn’t spread to the ‘gap’ the sidebar left.

    How can I achieve this?
    (Basically assign the ‘full-width’ template to the search results.)
