    Hello, I just switched over to Twenty Twelve and I'm trying to fix the page width of my blog to 800px so it matches the image size I'll be using going forward.

    I read through the post below but when I changed the value from 68 to 48 it didn't do anything (I am very rusty on coding this I'm sure this is all user error.)

    Here's my site: http://www.lasnark.com

    I'd also love to remove that line above the top nav, but I have started a separate thread about that. I am aware of the child theme and I am learning how to use that to my advantage.

    Cheers!

    Post back when you have that set up.

    Also, it's important that Twentytwelve itself must be as original. The already edited stylesheet and other theme files must get replaced with original.

    Would this help?

    #page{
      max-width:820px;
      padding: 0 10px;
    }

    Thank you ajmcfadyen, could someone tell me where I might put that code in the child stylesheet? Thanks.
