[Theme: Twenty Fifteen] Fixing the position of the main menu / sidebar

I’m using a twenty fifteen child theme and am keen to fix the position of my front-end menu / sidebar (so that when someone scrolls through content on the site, the menu stays visible on the left instead of moving up the screen with the rest of the content). I’m having a bit of difficulty figuring out exactly which part of the css needs tweaking.
