[Theme: Twenty Eleven] If I Have A Child Theme Created, It Is Safe To Upgrade WordPress, Correct?

  • I’m relatively new to WordPress, and this is my first time that an upgrade has been released since I started using it. If I have a child theme setup, it’s perfectly safe to hit the scary looking upgrade button, correct? Just wanted to make sure before doing so.

I’m also just curious what would happen if someone didn’t have a child theme created. Would they just lose and modifications that they had made to their CSS? The posts, image library, etc would still all remain, right?

Thank guys, and I apologize in advance. The new guy is just a little scared. Thanks.

not sure if it matters but this is a link to my site: http://www.edgeeks.com
