[Theme: Twenty Eleven] Getting header bar full width (#access)

  • Hello everyone,

I’ve just finished a site for a client but a few bugs remain and the most annoying is the following:

I want the header bar to be full width. I then set a background image fitting with the css-generated #access bar.
This solution is far from being perfect as both heights can’t really match and when the screen size varies (eg mobile resolution), only the #access bar is responsively redesigned.

    Here is the site URL:
    http://www.transformationstreaming.com

Any CSS tip to resolve that?

    Thank you all
    Laurent

I spent quite a bit of time trying to figure this one out — it looks like there is a bunch of weird layout stuff going on. But in just trying a few things, I changed the width under #access from 100% to 1100px and it made it better — maybe okay. But I could not tell how that might affect the variable width on smaller screens, or how it will look in other browsers.

BTW, the whole page loads REALLY slowly — probably more than a minute before all the background images are fully loaded. Personally, I think that’s a significant problem…
