Support » Theme: Twenty Eleven » [Theme: Twenty Eleven] Changes to the main static page appearance

  • I just installed my third WP site and I have now TwentyEleven theme.
    This is my site
I’d like to make some minor changes and for that I’d need some help.
How can I avoid the page title to appear?
hide/remove menu bar items (Home, search field)?
change the color of menu bar?
    make the page container wider?
avoid the header image to be clickable?
thanks to all for the help

Do not edit the Twenty Eleven theme. It is the default WordPress theme and having access to an unedited version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range of site issues. First create a child theme for your changes.

    Thanks, I didn’t know!
Meanwhile I switched to Responsive theme which features a Landing Page template which answers most of my demands and works fine for my goal.
I understand this is not the right thread anymore, but can I ask you how can I add more fonts to my website (e.g. Verdana, Lucida, Times New Roman etc.) to be used in pages?

You should still begin by creating a child theme for your extra fonts.

You mean there’s no way to achieve such task by simply adding a plugin?
I only need to have a couple of font options in my Pages.
BTW what does that mean when theme features are described as: “Features include ……..the top 20 most popular Google Fonts”??

    Hi Fabthi,

Here is a really good plug-in that can help you do most of what you want to do:

    Hi GnosticGirl
