Could you try renaming the file fr.po to fr_FR.po?

Thanks for your reply !
I just tried but no effects.
When I click on “Leave a comment”, the space where we can write a comment is translated. Only this piece of information is still in English : Posted on….Leave a comment Edit”
Could you please provide a link to a post where you’re seeing this? Thanks.

Hi there, we have a suspicion that your site may be loading the .mo file at this path:
http://www.tokyoindepth.net/wp-content/languages/fr_FR.mo
…instead of the one within the theme folder here:
http://www.tokyoindepth.net/themes/tonal/languages/fr_FR.mo
As you can see here in the human-readable .po version, the first file I referenced above does NOT include the “Posted on” string for line 85 in the file inc/template-tags.php
http://www.tokyoindepth.net/wp-content/languages/fr_FR.po
To test this theory, you could temporarily rename the existing language file here:
http://www.tokyoindepth.net/wp-content/languages/fr_FR.mo – and then into that same folder, add a copy of the one from here:
http://www.tokyoindepth.net/themes/tonal/languages/fr_FR.mo
Please let me know if this works.
When you installed the site, did you move any language files around yourself?

Hello Kathryn,
Thanks for your answer.
When I installed the site, I created the child-tonal folder and copied everything from the tonal folder.
As you have suggested at first, I have modified the child-tonal fr.po to fr_FR.po.
I have just realized that there is a languages folder in wp-content, with a fr_FR.po file. (and .mo as well).
That said, should I try what you suggest right above ?
One more question first, did you rename fr.mo to fr_FR.mo in /tonal/languages/ as well? That’s probably what I should have had you do earlier, since the site only reads the .mo (machine object) file; the .po one is only for human editing but the site ignores it. Let me know.

Thanks for the quick answer.
No, I didn’t rename anything in the tonal folder. Should I modify fr.mo into fr_FR.mo in both files (tonal and child-tonal) ?
Edit: I have just modified fr.mo into fr_FR.mo in the tonal folder and it works well 🙂
Thank you for your assistance 🙂

Great! Happy to hear that, thanks for letting me know and sorry I didn’t catch that earlier.
