[Theme: Toolbox] Category vs Posts Page – understanding

    I need help understanding when is a good time to set Reading Settings to a Posts Page and when to add a category to the menu. I buit this child theme and I’m stuck on the last two sections, Publications (New) and Press Releases.

    http://cermedcorp.com/ but here is the Drupal site I’m retiring after I re-purpose the site into WordPress; http://www.cermedint.com/

    If you look at the Publications page on the Drupal site; http://www.cermedint.com/news/publication what is the best way to get this into Worpress? It doesn’t have to click through to a full post just to download a pdf.

    This press release page http://www.cermedint.com/news/press-release is a blog format I started on the cermedcordp new website, which leads to my next question. Why is this not an excerpt? Yes, the Reading Settngs is set to Summary.

    Any opinions or help on understanding when to use categories and when to use the blog posts page setting would be greatly appreciated. It seems like one would usually use category navigation when they need more than one blog?
