    Hi,

    I was wondering if anybody has tried to use bootswatch themes with The Bootstrap, and if so, could you outline the step to make it work?

    Thanks

    Hi raghos,

    thank you very much for your question.

    As a matter of fact, I just added support for Bootswatch today, and it will be available with the next update!

    Thanks,
    Konstantin

    Hi Konstantin,

    Thanks for your answer. Actually, I'm inclined to just modify your theme a bit using a child theme.

    One thing I don't get is that I can change the font of the site using:

    body {font-family: "Source Sans Pro";
    color:#555555;background-color: #F7F7F7
    }

    .navbar-inner {font-size: 20px; font-weight:bold;font-family:"Josefin Sans","Helvetica",Helvetica; }

    but these changes don't show when I access the site with my iPhone. Could you point me in the right direction?

    Thanks.

    Look for styles wrapped in media queries, that alter the display for phones and tablets.

    Hi Konstantin,

    Thanks for your answer. I can't see any font-family statements anywhere associated with a 'media'.

    Thanks

    I think I'm missing something here. When I select a theme from the options, the new look is there on the front end but it does not behave. When resizing the page it breaks. Every theme option does this. The page title disappears and the menu icon does not show up. The nav menu is gone but not replaced. Like I said, it does it with all themes. New setup, new to bootstrap. Thanks

    Hi,

    I'm really interested in using the Bootswatch themes as well.

    I just tried overriding your bootstrap.css with one of them, which broke things a bit. Applying bootstrap-responsive.css helped, but there are still some things, such as comments forms that are a bit different, as I guess you customised your bootstrap files to work better with wordpress?

    I'd like the layout to look exactly like the existing the-bootstrap, so I guess it's probably best to wait for you to add your Bootswatch support rather than spending loads of time trying to get it working myself, only to find that your update does it better anyway! :)

    Any idea when you'll be releasing the new version? Or am I really being stupid and missing the option somewhere?

    Thanks

    Hi stefwilliams,

    I'm pretty busy right now, so I'm not really sure when I get around to releasing a new version. :( I'd love to ship within the year though.

    Meanwhile, feel free to grab the latest nightly build with support for Bootswatch! :)
