How to programmatically add and remove slideshow pics?

  • I’m using Graph Paper’s Storyteller Theme:

    Storyteller

and I am trying to write a PHP script that will add and remove items from the front-page slide show. Looking in the database, it seems like the list of what’s in the slideshow might be managed as serialized data, in a wp_options field, called “storyteller_options.”

There must be a standard way of adding and removing stuff from that field without messing directly with the serialized data. Any ideas? The results right now look like this:

    Any help much appreciated,

    -John

That’s not something we can support here but if you head over to their support site I’m sure you can get assistance.

Part of what you paid for was support from them when you bought that theme, no sense in not using that option.

Edit: Yes, I know you’re asking about serialized data and not the theme per se. But they may still have a better way/means for you to accomplish what you want.
