[Resolved] Theme Sticky Posts Images not resizing

My website has just been restored from a back up recently having had a problem with the new wordpress update and my home page sticky images have hugely enlarged on the sliding banners. 2 out of 3 of them have blown up to full size images having been perfectly resized to the box space before in the featured image. The third image has not changed in size so I left it the same but had to resize two of the images to set as feature images on the home page posts – this has worked in terms of the sliding banners which now appear to be correct however the feature image on the home page (which is in blog appearance) now looks strange as I have had to resize the images into a letter box whereas previously they appeared full size on the home page and automatically fit the sliding banners – how do I go back to what it was like before – this theme is behaving strangely ever since the new wordpress release?

    Why is this?

  • I’m not sure that is your problem, but maybe this will be usefull for others :

I noticed that to be resized for the slider, your initial image resolution shoud be bigger than 1440×395. In other word the template can decrease the image size but not increase it.

So just find bigger pictures or upscalee them (for example with gimp).

Note that if the image have not the good ratio, it will be croped automaticly… so sometimes it will be better to crop it manually to be shure that is nicely done.
