[Theme: Sliding Door] Adjusting Theme

  • I’ve been managing my personal domain name for about a year now but still don’t really know what the hell I’m doing. The content is certainly there, at least for what I can produce at this stage in my life, but after a quick glance… the site kind of sucks.

Sliding Door theme, I would love to make some changes, but really don’t know how.

Changing the background from the black to an uploaded image?

Then the about Author section at the bottom… bright white and white text against the black background. What were they thinking… or what did I do wrong?

I wouldn’t be surprised if this is more a case of “I don’t know WordPress overall” than specifically the theme, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Lastly, going off of that, I really wish I knew a way to make each of my new posts automatically file themselves onto a certain Page. Example, Pages A, B, and C based on content. How do I make a blogpost on topic B automatically show up as a link and teaser paragraph on Page B (from which we access via the Sliding Door at the top).

This would seriously make my life better. Please help! For reference:
