Theme showing Youtube thumbnails, but i only want the links

Hello,
i am not entirely sure if the theme is the cause of this, but i want to put links onto some of my Pages, but instead i see the Youtube thumbnail. I found no way to change this, can anyone help me?

Is there a specific page I should be looking at?

If you’re pasting in a YouTube link, WP will convert it to the video automatically.

To prevent that, you can try a plugin like this: https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/disable-embeds/

Thanks for your answer, but that plugin doesnt work. Even after deleting and re adding the links. I didnt find a similar plugin. Any other ideas? Or atleast how i could make them smaller=

He for example. As you can see the thumbnail is also too wide for the layout.

But now it opens some links in a new tab and some in the same. Any idea for this?

When you added the link, did you check a box to open it in a new window?
