• This is with brand new installs, I’m finding Theme search no longer works at all, it just redirects to the default results. I’ve set up 3 development sites since 4.8 rolled out and all have had this issue. No sites I set up before had this issue. Anyone have a fix or know where I can file a bug report?

    It’s working for me, at least if I search on “twenty”. What are you searching on?

    (Also, wp.org was having some issues for the past couple of days. Is this still occurring?)

    I’m having the same problem. In 4.7 and in 4.8.
    I tried installing it locally and in cloud9 workspaces.
    When I search for new themes or plugins there’s a blank screen with a rolling cirle of dots…
    I was searching for keyword “Yoast”.
    No plugins were active nor installed. Only the default “Hello Dolly” and “Akismet” both disabled.

    I tried putting define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false); in wp_config.php with no results.

    I also tried with:

    define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
    define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
    define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', true );
    @ini_set( 'display_errors', 1 );
    define( 'SCRIPT_DEBUG', true );

    But no errors were shown.

    I discovered that If I press F5 (refresh) while the blank screen with a rolling cirle of dots… Then it loads. If not, it keeps searching forever…

    I was searching for GeneratePress. In fact, its seems to automatically just revert to any WordPress ‘Twenty something’ theme. Before I would get themes based on Generatepress.

    It’s working for me. Are you sure you’re on the “add themes” page?

    I’m having the same issue. If I type theme name into the search box and then do nothing, it will bring up the correct theme. However, if I type in the name and then hit the ‘return’ key, it doesn’t work. Easy enough to just avoid hitting the return key, but I suspect that ideally should also work if I do this.

    Can confirm, also having this same issue, but only on Linux. On Windows using MAMP this issue doesn’t happen.

    Oddly enough, searching for plugs works just fine, only seems to affect themes.
