Theme related image data does not exist. please re-upload the image

  • Whenever I try to upload an image it loads quickly and stops at crunching. It didn’t change for a long time so I switched to the media library page and my image is there. when I go to the image and click edit image it gives me “image data does not exist. please re-upload the image”. Mind you my image is not too large. 500X450 and is only 80kb.

I followed other peoples suggestions on other posts and checked all plugins. None seem to change it.

Some posts suggested increasing the memory to PHP. I did that as well. 64M and then 128M. Didn’t help.

I then switched to the original 2013 theme and the images upload! But I already bought this new theme and have worked on it a lot thinking I will upload images later. it is the GetFit theme. Does anyone know why this might happen and how I can change that?
