    Hello,
for multiple reasons (cost, integration with Lightroom CC, speed…), I’ve elected to use Adobe Portfolio for my photography website and I’m quite happy with my decision. However, it’s quite a bare bone photography centric CMS and blogging is not supported at all. Now I would like to integrate a WordPress blog to my website and I was wondering if someone could advise a bare bone blogging theme that could easily be customized and tweaked so as to be seamlessly integrated in my website.
Would rather go for something free, but any suggestions welcome 🙂

  • There are many free blank starter themes out there that you can customize to match.

Well yes thank you but I thought maybe someone could direct me to a theme looking like the one I’m using on Adobe Portfolio so it would require minimum tweaking 🙂 While I know html and the basics of CSS, I’d rather avoid spending weeks on it if it’s possible.

    Hi Greg,

I am looking for the exact same thing! Have you found a suitable WordPress theme already?

    Hi Ellen,
On the Adobe Portfolio side, I’m using the “Thomas” template with some tweaks on container sizes and positions as well as some font tweaks. For my blog I’m using the free “Make” WordPress theme with some customizations from the theme’s back-end as well as some CSS tweaks (Jetpack CSS injection I believe). The result is not exactly seamless but for now it will do: you can see it for yourself on my website http://www.gregorydziedzic.com.
Hmmm, I was about to refer you to my test of Adobe Portfolio to share some thoughts about the pros and cons of Adobe Portfolio but I haven’t translated it yet so I’m not sure what gobbledygook Google translate is going to come up with!
Be careful with the mobile version by the way, tweaks that might work on the desktop version on your website can easily make the mobile one illegible.
Good luck and let me know how that went 🙂
    Regards
    Greg
