I’m new to this theme and I don’t know a whole lot about style sheets and all that, but I think I know enough to figure some things out. I switched to this theme today from Bueno, and I love it. However, there are two issues I can’t resolve that are bugging me. First, why are blank boxes appearing within my text? Here is an example: http://jamesandjax.com/2012/08/24/i-overscheduled-again/

It is happening on many posts, and I can’t figure out why or how to fix it.

Second, how can I change the sidebar width so that my buttons aren’t cut off on the right?

I’m not new to blogging, but I rarely play with stylesheets, so please don’t be afraid to “dumb it down” for me. Thanks!

Those boxes, I assume you mean the white rectangles that break up the text, are ‘adsense’. You have three JavaScript errors in your page stating, “Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 400 (Bad Request)” on URLs such as, “http://googleads.g.doubleclick.net…”, which are likely to be the reasons the rectangles are blank.

I don’t see where your buttons are cut off, is it on a different page? Which browser and browser version are you using?

Thanks Andrew. I’m using Firefox. If you look on the sidebar, you’ll see the BlogHer ads are being cut off on the right. If you scroll down the page, there is a button just under “My Communities” (the brown one, for postpartumprogress.org) that is also cut off on the right.

Regarding your earlier response, how do I fix the adsense issue?

Those headings are part of the image. You’ll need to edit the image.

Andrew, I got it! I simply deactivated adsense, and now the white boxes are gone. Interesting. Thank you so much. But if I want adsense back, then I suppose it will be a bigger problem to correct.

So I can’t just make the sidebar wider (in the style sheet) to accommodate wider ads/buttons?

You can but that won’t solve the problem.

    Thank you, Andrew!
