[Theme Pagelines] Trouble Removing Sidebar

I have been trying to remove the right-hand sidebar from Pagelines, but with no success. The only 2 widgets in my sidebar are “Recent Posts” and “Archives”.

First I removed both from the sidebar in the widgets area. Then I went into Pagelines settings and I set the “Layout Editor” to show full screen with no sidebar. Then I also went into the “Sidebar Options” and enabled “Hide Sidebars When Empty (no widgets)”, but the sidebar still appears on my blog anyway with those 2 widgets.

Am I perhaps doing something wrong and is there a way to remove the sidebar completely so that posts on my blog appear at full screen?

Any help and suggestions would be much appreciated…
