[Theme: Oxygen] Widget-awareness not working

Hi, Before I had wordpress installed on localhost, and everything was working, including widgets. I tried transfer to the server but kept running into problems.
So I decided to just install wordpress and the theme on the server and reset all the setting to be like the local host ones, which didn’t take long at all. But now when I go to the widgets area in my admin area, it says there are no sidebars defined, and the theme is not widget-aware. I even made a menu in the primary sidebar from the menu making area!
So why aren’t widgets working!
I’m willing to code, I have little knowledge, but I’m sure it’s enough, it’s not really all that little, I just lack knowledge of wordpress functions.
Please help me get the widgets working again!
