[closed] Disabling mobile appearance (4 posts)

I've recently started using the oxygen theme on wordpress, and I've noticed a couple of things:

    1) I can't disable the mobile version of the theme through the dashboard. Other forums have suggested going to Appearance -> Mobile, but "Mobile" doesn't appear as a dropdown menu. Does anyone share the same problem that I do?

    2) On a similar note, I've also noticed and read that themes modify the menus you have available to use (eg. some have Appearance -> extra, some don't). Have people noticed that with Oxygen you have a limited number of modification options (save from manipulating the php, which i've been doing). Is there anyway to restore those lost menus and gain complete control over the look of the site? Or is it a problem with my dashboard?

Eric, I´m having just the same problem, i want to disable the mobile version of the Oxygen Theme, but in my dashboard the "mobile" option doesn't appear in the "Appearance" Menu.

    How did you solve it?

I'm having exactly the same problem for egear.be

WordPress.org apparently doesn't have this option.
    Wordpress.com does have this option.

It seems to me that wordpress.com is more developed than wordpress.org

Is there a way (maybe with a plugin) to have this mobile tab under 'appearance'

Egear, don't post your issues on someone else's thread.
You can continue a discussion of your issues on your own thread.
