 * Hello
 * Helping a DJ friend to develop his wordpress site. I am a graphic designer, but
   ok on the html/css, unfortunately not so with php. Anyway, he purchased the dancefloor
   theme by Gorilla and I have been tweaking it. Most things are fine, but when
   I insert an external link for the featured image in the main slideshow, I click
   save and the url disappears. They will only link to the default event page for
   the image no matter what I do.
 * I am now wondering if the theme is actually overriding the normal wordpress functionality.
   I have also noticed the external links I set-up via custom fields on the small
   next gen slideshow images – ‘latest releases’ home panel 1 – are also not working.
 * Any help will be greatly received as it is driving me up the wall!
 * Here is the development url:

 * Thanks

 * If this is a purchased theme, it is going to be hard for anyone to help. With
   most themes, I can download a copy and look at the source. Not so if the theme
   is purchased.
 * Yes, a theme could probably cause of the issues you describe but that could be
   a lot of code to wade through. I’d contact the person the who made the theme.
 * Have you tried running the theme with no other plugins at all? Maybe there is
   a conflict.

 * Hi Apljdi
 * Thanks for getting back to me.
 * That did seem to rectify the situation, so I got the client to purchase a higher
   level of the theme so that we can get forum support. Carlos at Gorilla is now
   looking into the issue and I will post back when we find a solution as it may
   be useful to others.

 * Hi Apljdi
 * Carlos at Gorilla sorted this out for me. I said that I had read somewhere a
   good way round the issue was to install custom fields for featured articles.
   I was not able to do this myself, but he was and now this problem is resolved.
 * Thanks
