    Yes only text mode works. Visual conflicts with the new WordPress and its fine even if it doesn’t work because for coding changes text mode is what is needed.

    Thanks for your reply. I’ll use the text tab, but I disagree that ‘text mode is what’s needed’ because if I want to add an image, or format text, I have to do it all manually (i.e. upload the image, get the URL, hard code it into the page). Why haven’t you updated your theme to not conflict with the new WordPress? and why does the entire box disappear if I click the visual tab and then go back to the text tab?

    Updating theme would mean not using theme options as the new rules say no use of theme options means breaking several sites which are already using the old theme.

    New themes have to be based on Customizer.
