    Hi,

i have just published my site, using minameze theme, but the home page doesn’t looks as it should, as run on localhost.
It doesn’t displays what i have entered for the sliders, the feature area, the logo.. practically nothing that is set under the theme options. Instead it shows the default data from the theme.
Do you know what might be the problem.
All the rest is fine on the site.
    Please help.

    Thanks,
    Katerina

    Hi Mark,

    yes i fixed it.
The problem was that the images in the slider kept the localhost link and when i tried to update that data it was resetting it to default. It had something to do with serialized data and encrypting it in an array.

This plugin for exporting the database helped
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-migrate-db/
You just need to export the db and it will replace the urls as specified.

Let me know if it helped

    solved 🙂

    Hi Kate

Many thanks for your response. I found that the problem came from the way i had set up my localhost.sql file – I had accidently set the Find and and Replace incorrectly in some places, though not quite sure how!

It seems to be all sorted now but as i am fairly new to WordPress I suspect i will come across a few more challenges on the way!

Thanks again for your help 🙂

    Mark
