New installation – on Hostgator, and I used their WordPress install
    option.
I’m using the Onesie theme – which is a portfolio presentation site-
no pages, no posts, everything is in the theme options.
Made many changes mostly in theme options, and these look great
while I’m logged in to the Dashboard.
Trouble is – when I’m not logged in, and I point my browser at
the site, I’m seeing the same old default version of the theme – – –

    – – – – any ideas?

you are making changes to the theme options and they are not saving then you should contact the theme author and if you don’t have the latest version of the theme then install the latest version and latest version of the wordpress also.

Secondly do you see the changes on your site when you are logged in on your dashboard and you visit your site.

Look like theme problem may be it is outdated … contact the author or share the link and further details so that we can see … thanks

    – – – ah, thank you, pluspt2001 !

    – – – indeed, it’s the case that the changes are saved and visible
when I log in, but not if I’m logged out and go to
    peterjohnstill.com

    – – – further details would be that I did a tiny amount of hacking the
words that appear as part of the theme (“portfolio” > “traces”) – – – so
I should do a clean install again (maybe try from the WordPress zip-file, instead of doing the courtesy-of-Hostgator install) and go step=by=step

(was, is, and will be the latest versions, downloaded from Graphic and
    Wordpress websites)

    – – – then I’ll get back to this thread – – –

oh – and – silly question – – – is there some activation code I
need to enter to get the thing visible to the outside world? I’ve
seen no email from WordPress or from Hostgator with such – – –

    – – – thank you again!!! – Peter

    ah well – – –

overnight – apparently as the Name-server assigns
propogated over the net, the problem resolved itself!

thankyou again for the helpful response, tho’!
