Theme Not Working

    My installation of the VW Ecommerce Store doesn’t work. I followed instructions to create the Home Page and set to static. It doesn’t work. Nothing from the demo appears or even any layout similar to that shown with the theme. I have a blank page with black and blue horizontal bars and nothing else. It won’t even obey the colors I have set for the theme. Any suggestions? The link you provided in another forum thread 11 months ago leads to a dead page.

    Also, the theme asks for Woocommerce plugin which I do not use. Will the theme work with other shopping carts?

    I believe I have found the issue. In fact, the theme doesn’t come with anything. It’s just another of the many WP themes that shows a fancy theme with brags yet contains nothing. You have to create everything you see in the demo. Theme simply gives you a preset layout to follow if you choose. I’m uninstalling it as I hate deception. This is not theme. It’s a box on a page and nothing else.

    Hello coastventures,

    Please follow the steps to setup theme,

    For Homepage:
    ===============

    1. Create a new page and name it as “Home” then select the template “Custom Home”.

    2. Go to Settings >> Reading, Select the option of Static Page, now select the page you created to be the homepage.

    For Topbar:
    ==================

    1. Go to Appearance >> Customize >> VW Settings >> Topbar section, add Shipping text, Return text, Payment text and Phone Number.

    For Slider Section:
    ===================

    1. Go to Dashboard >> Pages >> Add New, and Add new page for slider, set it’s featured image, title, the content and publish it. Repeat this step for other sliders.

    3. Go to Appearance >> Customize >> VW Settings >> Slider Settings, Select the pages of slider which you have created for slider.

    4. For sidebar categories, it will show the product categories which you have created.

    For Trending Products:
    =============================

    1. Install WooCommerce Plugin.

    2. Go to Dashboard >> Products >> Add New, and add new products.

    3. Go to Dashboard >> Pages >> Add New, and add new Page, name it & paste this shortcode “[products limit=”4″ columns=”4″]” and publish it.

    3. Go to Appearance >> Customize >> VW Settings >> Trending Products, Add Section Title and Select the page which you have created for products.

    For Footer:
    ==================

    1. Go to Appearance >> Widgets and add widgets to Footer.

    2. For Footer text, Go to Appearance >> Customize >> VW Settings >> Footer and add copyright text here.

    For Navigation:
    =================

    1. First of all, create pages from go to Pages >> Add a new page.

    2. Go to Appearance >> Menu, Click on Create a new menu and Give a name to your menu in Menu Name and click save menu button.

    3. Once you have created a menu. You need to add pages by selecting them with checkboxes. After adding the menu list you can arrange it by drag and drop.

    4. Select the menu theme location “Primary Menu” from the below checkbox.
