[closed] [Theme-Natural] Pages vs Portfolio Posts (6 posts)

    I'm new to WordPress and I'm confused about Pages vs Portfolio posts. I created a two-column Portfolio page and 8 portfolio items. The Portfolio page now nicely displays 8 images associated with those items and links to the portfolio item page. I also created 8 Pages with those portfolio item names so that my main site navigation can direct visitors to a specific category of portfolio work. What I want to do is have unique pages for each portfolio category where I can display multiple portfolio work links and images with perhaps a sidebar.

    Is it possible to link portfolio page images to pages, rather than portfolio items? If not, can a portfolio item be built as a page with sidebars and can portfolio items be included in main navigation like pages? Any references to documentation would be helpful as my site documentation doesn't explain this. Thanks!

    This is what I am trying to do as well. Sure would like for someone to answer this with a possible solution either through code or preferably, plugin...

    @Klozter - it looks like that's a commercial theme - http://themeforest.net/item/natural-powerful-responsive-wordpress-theme/discussion/2358157?page=14 ??

    These forums don't support commercial themes - partly because we don't have access to them, so you should really contact the developer for help.

    It is true that the template I am using is a custom theme. I have contacted the theme author and he has indicated what I am looking for would need some internal customization that is not available for the moment.

    However, I am trying to find something in the form of a generic plugin or WP coding that might allow me to bypass the theme options and do this generically. I guess it is just wishful thinking... :(

    It's quite hard to say, but a few things - first, it's best to start a new thread on these forums if you have any questions - see:

    So far as your question, it's really hard to know because no one here knows how your theme is set up. But posting a link to your site and a description of what you are looking for (rather than posting in other threads) will increase the likelihood of someone offering a suggestion that might work. (FWIW,I'm really not even sure what you are looking for...)

    OK, I will start a new thread. Thanks for getting back to me.
