removing sidebar and extending page width (2 posts)

    Hi all,
    Here is a link to the page that is experiencing problems:
    http://paulaneeley.nfshost.com/?page_id=10

    As you can see, I would like the page width extended and the picture to be moved over to the right.

    I realize I do have one widget running in sidebar, but I am willing to remove sidebar completely, or I would be happy to reduce the sidebar width. Either way, I need help to extend my page width.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

    The first problem I see is that the image has hard coded CSS, which is:

    element.style {
    box-shadow: #888 0px 7px 7px;
    margin-top: 5px;
    margin-bottom: 10px;
    margin-left: -300px;
    margin-right: -300px;
    }

    the problem are with these codes:

    margin-left: -300px;
    margin-right: -300px;

    This will just cancel each other out, and it shouldn't be used this way. Instead try something like:

    element.style {
    box-shadow: #888 0px 7px 7px;
    position: absolute;
    top: 200px;
    right: 0px;
    }

    play with the top and right values.

    if you are going put the image inside the post. Instead, you can test it out by widening the width for:

    #content {
    float: left;
    width: 940px;
    margin: 0;
    margin-right: 20px;
    }

    which is the style.css file for your theme.
