[Theme: Minimatica] I do not want some posts displayed on home page slider.

I am developing my website for my photography business. I have set it up so the images displayed on the homepage will direct you to each of the galleries (still being built).
On my menu bar, I have a ‘blog’ option. I was planning on having the page that menu option is linked to, redirect you to a post category. However, I do not want it to be displayed on the homepage slider.
Is there any way to be selective in what posts show on the homepage?
