I am using Mantra v1.8.0. I recently changed my blog to have the sidebar on the left, instead of on the right.

All of a sudden, the site turns into … well, click the link and you’ll see (NSFW!). Under Mantra Settings > Layout Settings, there is a slider to control the size of the sidebar in relation to the rest of the content. It’s stuck at 0% for both sidebar and content, which I believe is causing the site to look like that.

I have no idea why it is doing this, as it was working fine before I changed the sidebar. Putting it back the way it was doesn’t work, either.

Any and all help is appreciated.

  • Hi!
You probably have an older version of WordPress that doesn’t contain some of the files Mantra needs for that slider to work.
Please upgrade your WordPress installation to the latest version and try again.

I am using WordPress v3.3.1, which is the latest version.

As I said, the theme was working fine before I changed my sidebar from the right to the left of my content.

I have the latest version of wordpress, and this is happening to me too. Mine was also working fine until I adjusted the slider for the column settings.

Just to let you know, I am still having this problem, even though I am now using Mantra version 1.8.6. WordPress itself is still at Version 3.3.1 – so it can’t be the problem.

I would really like this issue to be resolved, as Mantra is a great theme for my content. The Twenty Eleven theme, while a good substitute, isn’t exactly the best theme ever.

Maybe I need to do something?

I’ve been waiting for help with this issue for far too long. With all due respect, I’ve decided to find another theme to meet my needs, since you don’t seem all that interested in fixing this problem.

    Thanks anyway.

I’m having this problem after migrating from one server to another. First, Mantra threw a bunch of errors. I went into the Mantra settings and started doing a 1:1 based on the dev site (which still works fine, running on the same server), and after the first setting was saved (from side-barred to single-column), the slider stopped working. Now it’s stuck at 0px width no matter which layout I select. Even the slider help text says: ^——— Total width = 0px ———^

Running latest wordpress 3.3.2 and mantra v. 1.8.9 as of today.
