# Theme install error from functions.php

 * When installing my theme on a live server (local install on MAMP works fine) 
   package i am getting the error show below.
    I have read that it is due to the
   PHP version on the server and not to be concerned, can someone confirm or deny
   this? ___________________________________________ Unpacking the package.
 * Installing the theme.
 * Theme Installed successfully.
 * Warning: fopen(/XXX/wp-content/themes/youth/style.css): failed to open stream:
   No such file or directory in /XXX/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3598
 * Warning: fread(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /XXX/wp-
   includes/functions.php on line 3601
 * Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /XXX/wp-
   includes/functions.php on line 3604
    ____________________________________________________
 * The theme and everything else appear to function properly, but this error is 
   causing concern.

 * Yes, the site ([http://vincentdepalma.com/clients/itpays/](http://vincentdepalma.com/clients/itpays/))
   contains everything needed including the style.css. In fact the theme works 100%
   without a glitch, with the exception of this error when installing. This error
   only occurs when installing on a live server (godaddy PHP 4.x MySQL 5.0) when
   installing locally on MAMP there is no warning message. This article ([http://www.press75.com/support/topic/3389/getting-strange-fopen-fread-and-fclose-errors-on-install/](http://www.press75.com/support/topic/3389/getting-strange-fopen-fread-and-fclose-errors-on-install/))
   says the issue is with the PHP version, any thoughts on how to correct this to
   work with PHP 4.x?

 * Have you spoken to GoDaddy? They host plenty of WordPress sites and I’d be very
   surprised if they aren’t using an appropriate version of PHP.

   varies themes.
