Can you post a link to your site so I can take a look? Thanks!

Hmm, are you using Posts or Pages? It looks as though you’re using Pages only at this time. The slider and home page are designed to be used with Posts, so I’m thinking once you create some, you’ll see them appear on the home page.

    Hello again.

My welcome page is a Post, and it is not appearing…

What are your settings under the Settings -> Reading panel?

And what are your settings under the Appearance -> Theme Options panel?

I’m seeing a Page entitled “Welcome to Sybil’s Weddings…” etc. and a Post entitled simply “Welcome” (but it doesn’t have a proper permalink) so I wonder if that’s causing a conflict of some kind.

Also disable any plugins you’re using if any just to be sure there’s not a conflict there.

If i uninstall then reinstall, would it reset to factory settings that would be correct for me to use?

    Probably not.

I apologize if I have a lot of questions, I am a web novice when it comes to building my own site.
My settings under Reading Panel, Front page displays a static page but nothing is selected, and I do not see the post I wanted for the front page as an option.
Appearance doesnt have “theme options” panel. Only themes, widgets, menus, background, and editor… (Should it be there??)
I fixed the permalinks so those should be correct now…

How do I activate the slider for the homepage?

That explains it. Change your Reading settings to display Posts, not a static page, and you should see the grid layout appear. The grid layout wont work with a static page selected (and probably not having a page selected to display instead was causing it to break). You can’t display a single post as a static home page which is why you don’t see it in the list 🙂

That doesn’t explain why you’re missing the Theme Options panel, but it’s a start!

Thank you very much for your time. I don’t see a grid appear on the front page of the site, therefore, I am sure it is due to my lack of knowledge on how all of this works.
I uninstalled it and reinstalled and now i have theme options again! 🙂

But still i do not see a grid on the front page… It says that there is an error on the page and that “object doesn’t support this property or method” “Code 0”
Does this mean my version of windows or something doesnt support this type of site?
    Thank you again.

hey guys. someone noted a incompatibility within IE? on chrome it´s ok, but on IE the grid does not show up correctly. any tips?

    Theme Author Caroline Moore

    (@sixhours)

    Which version of IE?

    the last one, 9 I guess. strange, isn´t? take a look http://www.confinsdoalem.com.br

I won’t be able to check it in IE 9 until tomorrow.

In the meantime, does the demo site have the same issue? http://heycookie-demo.calobeedoodles.com

yes, it does. when you hover the mouse over the small imgs, that tag with the link does not open up… it just opens if there´s no images on the post itself.
