[Theme: Graphene] Create blog section on Seperate Page

  • Most tutorials say to show all your blog spots on a separate page you need to copy and paste the index, make a new page template ,etc.

This doesn’t work for Graphene, I am guessing because of all the Graphene admin options associated with the homepage. Is there a way to do this?

  • You need to create a category called “Blog” or whatever you want to call it. Then, save the category.php page as category-{your-category-slug with out the brackets}.php and upload it into your theme directory.

No. Just use a static front page. Create one page for the static front page and another for the blog postings.

If you still want recent blog posts to appear on the front page, you can use Graphene’s “Homepage Panes” option.

No need to create a child theme, or edit core files, or muck about with FTP.
