• Hi!

I´ve seen that all “Theme Frameworks” like Hybrid, Thematic, etc. do now have an update-link at the admin-themes-page. How did they do it? I can´t find the code, that´s responsible for this.

    Can someone help/explain? Thank you!

hasn´t anyone an idea how this works? i searched through the code of some frameworks and didn´t find anything. can someone lend a helping hand?

    Thanks!

I created the Hybrid theme and often use Thematic, and I don’t know what you’re asking. If you’re on WP 2.8, then updated themes should show as updated though.

    Hi Justin,

    thanks for answering.

In the Admin-Panel under “Design” (Presentation?) you got the sub menu entry “themes”. When you go there and there´s for e.g. a newer version of Hybrid avaible, then you got since 2.7(.1?) a link to make an automatic update, like with a plugin.

My question is: How did you do that. I went through your code and the same with Thematic, but i found nothing that could be responsible for that. After searching through the net for days, the only thing i found was the announcement of this function for wp 2.7 and a support ticket on wp-trac.

Could you explain me that feature/function and how you made it? Thanks a lot!

anyone got an idea how this works? … justin doesn´t seem to come back for an answer… anyone got some php please? 😉

Other than what I’ve already said, I don’t know how to answer your question.

as far as i understood it now is, that it checks the version against wp-rep version and ONLY THEN offers the update-possibility, right?
