I love Expound but one niggling problem I’ve noticed is the excerpts look incredibly messy given the format of my posts (http://reelquick.co.uk/).

Anyway I could make this so I can choose the excerpt/swap it for the description?

  • You can use the manual excerpt box to write Description what ever you want and will appear instead of the default generated excerpt.
the manual excerpt box is hidden by default, on your post click on the Screen Options on top and check Excerpt.

You can use custom excerpts , while writing the post , if you don’t see excerpt option.Toggle the screen options panel at the top, and check the excerpt option.

If you checked it ,you can see a box for excerpt below the post editor, there you can add whatever excerpt you want.

If you want to change the […] at the end of excerpt check this

You need to create child theme if you are adding functions and don’t want to loose that when the theme updates.
