  • One very typical use case would be to not have a specific header background image, but to only have the blog name and tagline on the left and an advertising banner on the right side of the header area. For example approximately a width of 230px for the name and headline and 730px for a 728×90 banner, or 490px and 470px respectively for a 468×60 banner.

Elbee Elgee is already among the best themes available for WordPress and especially for BuddyPress. On the top of my list of how to make it better are the ability to further customize the header area to allow other (smaller) heights than 200px and the ability to easily use advertising banners instead of header images.

You’ve got some good ideas on improvements to the theme. If you’d like to see them truly wrapped in to future updates, would you mind dropping a few tickets over on the issue tracker? It makes it much easier for me to keep track of feature requests than here in the forums.

Thanks for the kind words and another quick reply. Didn’t know that you’re using this tracker, I added it to my bookmarks and will be glad to help. It might take a moment before posting, but would you like tickets to be added of these issues that I mentioned today already before 1.4, or would it make more sense to wait until its release to avoid dropping tickets on issues you’re addressing shortly in any case?

For a preview of a nice-looking header with an advertising image, my favorite is the beta of My Days Of Amber.
