Theme does not update

    I have just installed WordPress on a google cloud VM.
    I am using WordPress with NGINX and SSL Certified by Bitnami and Automattic.
    When I select a new theme (astra as an example), the resulting page still shows much of the Twenty Twenty-One theme. Same thing happens if I select any other theme.

    Could be cache issue (browser, plugin, server, cloud..)?

    Cleared cache, tried other browsers, tried incognito, there are no plugins installed.
    This is a new one-click to install of wordpress on google cloud. After installation, I logged into admin and tried to change the theme and noticed the issue.
    Is there anyway to reinstall wordpress and remove this problem?
    I am new to wordpress.
