I have an installation of WP 4.1.1. I’ve reinstalled WP4.1.1 several times.

Issue is that when I go to Appearance panel and hover over an installed theme, the Theme Details button appears but when I click, nothing happens. However the Activate, Live Preview and Customize buttons all work.

I have the following installed plugins:
    Akismet (inactive)
    Version 3.1.1

    Feedburner Email Widget
    Version 1.1.9

    Gravity Forms
    Version 1.3.11

    Hello Dolly (inactive)
    Version 1.6

    Search & Replace
    Version 2.7.0

    ShareThis
    Version 7.0.20

    WordPress File Monitor
    Version 2.3.3

    WP-SpamFree
    Version 2.1.1.2

    Any ideas?

HMMM, here is an update… it seems that deactivating Gravity Themes plugin solves the problem. But I have that installed on other installations where it does not cause this problem.

Another update: OK, I’m an idiot. This installation had a very outdated version of Gravity Forms. Doh! Sorry but maybe this might help someone else so I’ll leave it up.

Hey cnymike…this might not be related to your specific issue, but is definitely something you will want to look at.

WP-SpamFree hasn’t been in development or supported for a while now and it might not be a good idea to keep using it. (I was the original author of it and its developer for the first couple years it was around.) It’s only been tested up to WP 3.0.5, which is pretty old. Some users of recent WP versions (4.0+) have had blank screens caused by it (and probably other unreported issues as well) since the code hasn’t been kept up with PHP and WordPress standards. WP-SpamShield is the direct replacement for it, is current with all PHP and WordPress standards, and will import your settings (just leave WPSF active when you install it). Just be sure you have at least PHP 5.3 on your server as it won’t run on PHP 5.2. (If you’re on PHP 5.2 just ask your host to switch it to PHP 5.4.)

    Hope that helps.

Thanks Scott. While I knew WP-SpamFree hadn’t been updated in a loooooong time, it did seem to be working. But now that I know what I know, I’ll replace it with SpamShield. Thanks.
