 * The Contempt theme offered on wordpress.com has a blue background behind the 
   post title. The theme when downloaded from the web and used on my siteground 
   installation does not.
 * I like the blue background. What can I do?

 * Have you tried contacting the theme’s author? It’s not uncommon for wordpress.
   com to customise/enhance free themes.

 * BTW I tried copying the style.css from Firefox-view-pagesource but no cigar

 * There may be other changes in the theme’s templates & function.php files. Unfortunately,
   these changes are often exclusive to wordpress.com.
