Theme coming from wrong directory

I have just copied and installed a wordpress site into a different directory with a different domain.

Everything is fine except the theme is still coming from the old directory, I can tell by right clicking on the theme background and the address is of the old website theme folder.

The wp-content has been moved correctly, it’s just the theme that is coming from the old directory. I think I need to edit the index.php according to http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory
but when I alter the index.php according to the tutorial, I get an error when refreshing my site.
