    Hi!

The plugin has been working great for me so far. The only problem I have is that the theme constantly changes by itself from time to time. Sometimes, it’s the public theme, and sometimes the private one. I have no problem when changing it back, but it’s getting pretty annoying when it happens about once every hour. I can also say that I’ve tried with different browsers, and I have also cleared my cache, cookies etc. several times, without any results. Could someone please tell me how I could solve this problem? Perhaps there’s a code I could insert, maybe there’s a way to “force” a theme.

    Thanks!
    William

Glad to help. I’ve not heard of anything like this before, so not sure what the issue might be. Most likely it is something that is affecting/removing/clearing cookies in the browser. That is what the plugin checks when determining which theme to display.

    Thanks for your reply!
Hmm, interesting. I’m guessing that would be fairly easy to solve, the problem is that I can’t find any tutorials on how to do so. I’m pretty new to WordPress so I’ve never experienced anything like this before. I’ll keep searching!

In general there are two ways to troubleshoot and identify the source of issues:

    • Top-down approach
    • Ground-up approach

Either may be more beneficial depending on your current setup and so forth. Here is a complete troubleshooting guide that walks through each technique.

Hi @vilum7, just wanted to follow up with this. It’s been awhile with no reply, so I hope the issue is resolved? Or if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know. Thank you.

    Hi!

Sorry about the late reply, I simply forgot.

The issue is still not solved, however, I’ve noticed that it’s only the private theme that changes constantly, and with that said, it does not affect the public website at all. I’ve tried setting the time limit to both 0 and 99999999…, but that did not help. As I’ve previously mentioned, I’ve also tried cleaning the browser cache and cookies, and also changing browsers/computers.

The issue is not solved, but does not affect the website, it’s just a bit annoying to change back all the time. Sorry for not being able to provide more info of what is causing this, but I still don’t know how to fix it.

So you think the issue is related to the private theme you are using?

I believe that’s more likely than this plugin being the main reason. However, I still don’t understand how and why the plugin changes the theme back all the time. There might be some code somewhere that forces the website to use the old private theme, I don’t know.

Thanks for your help though, should I mark the post as solved? It’s not solved but I don’t think it’s the plugins fault anymore.

Yes please mark as resolved for now. Then later if it becomes an issue again, you can always open a new thread or re-open this one. I’m just trying to get the forums cleaned up for this latest round of plugin updates. I appreciate your help and feedback.
