  • Resolved helreg

Catch box look like a really nice theme. Thanks for your hard work!!
I am trying to display posts in the slider, but the slider only displays a bit of text and no images. The size also becomes really small, so that the forward and reverse buttons are actually in the first post.
What conditions have to me met that the slider displays a post’s image? Which image is displayed?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi helreg.

There is no image in the slider while I see the slider in the firebug. The slider actually displays the featured images of the respective post, I think that you have not set the featured images of posts that you have set on the slider option. The slider does not displays the content image but the featured image only.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Sanjiv,

I got it now. Tried the featured image – and it works. Thanks a lot.
Here a brief feedback on the theme in general.
I like the way your theme looks on mobiles. Also, the way YouTube videos are resized in your theme works a lot better than in most themes.
    For your consideration:
    1. It would be lovely, if we could use header images of different sizes and also change the position of the blog title and sub title, e.g in the header image, above, below, left, right..
    2. For the menus on a mobile: Maybe you could consider allowing to display the menu as a pull down menu on mobiles. This is done in quite a few responsive themes, e.g. iFeature.

Thanks a lot and keep up the good work!

    Hi helreg,

Thanks for your feedback. We have already add some in coming version 1.2. In this version, you can control the header images with different sizes and for menu on a mobile it is pull down.

i’m having the same problem as helreg.

i’m working locally on my macbook’s localhost, and can’t get to put any picture up in the slider.

i’ve tried using the theme in another site I built some time ago (and that is already uploaded in the net) and it does work.

I’m not sure what the problem is. I know that I’ve been changing some of the template’s css, but I don’t think that’s the problem, as everything works perfectly. in fact, i’ve even tried with a brand-new (no css style changing) and it doesn’t work either.

Can you help me? Thanks in advance! Virginia

ps: do you know if i can upload everything somewhere so that you can see what’s the problem? I’ve checked with the “inspect element” of chrome and can’t see any link to the images either… 🙁

    Hi virginiazapico,

In order to make The Featured Slider work, do the following:

You need to create post and add featured image. Click here to know about featured image then you need to get the Post ID and enter it in Featured Slider Options. If you cannot find the post if then you can install Catch IDs plugin

i just want to show pictures in my slider in my site!!

If you just want to show the image without any description and links then you need to build the child theme and do the customization. Currently we don’t have this option.
