  • Hello,

I’m not very knowledgeable in the area of CCS but I’ve managed to edit an existing theme to get something looking nice and to my taste. This is my first time editing code!

At the moment this is what I’ve produced website however now that I’m starting to work on different pages I’m having trouble.

What I want to do is use conditional tags to say that I only want my image (..images/skin2/red_bg.png, located in the div.post-entry area) to be displayed on the front page. I’ve researched conditional tags and I don’t know whether my code is working because I don’t know where exactly to place it. Can anybody please help?

Which theme are you working on and are you planning to update that theme in the future?

    I’m using the Boradscope theme

And if I can get this working, I don’t plan on making any dramatic future changes.

Have you tried contacting the theme’s vendors?

No I haven’t yet. I thought I might try here before then 🙂

Forum volunteers don’t have access to the files of commercial themes, therefore we cannot help with commercial-theme-related queries. There’s also an ethical issue as support from forum volunteers to commercial themes can derive or profit business to the vendor, as support responsibility is with the vendor.

    Update:

I’ve managed to get the bg_red.png images to show up only on the home page however I don’t know how to place it properly. Here is an image to show where it should be example And from my website you can see where it is right now

Ah right, I understand. Would you be able to help me with the positioning of the image?
