[Theme: Blink] how to set up background and remove first posts?

    Hi,

    I have problems to set the backgorund image so that nothing will be displayed on it on the first page.

    What I have now is the ugly black bar with “Welcome to your wordpress site”

    How can I remove it? I really don’t want any unwelcome messages like this on my website.
