Support » Fixing WordPress » Theme and plug-in not working together

  • I purchased a theme as well as a shopping cart plug-in. The plug in wasn’t working as expected so I contacted the developer. They had a look and said that the theme is non-compliant and is missing the wp_footer() part.

    I then contacted the developer of the theme and he says the footer.php has the wp_footer() function included.

    I have no idea what any of this means. Can someone here take a look and see if it is missing the wp_footer.

    I’ve de-activated my under construction plug-in so you could have a look. Thanks so much if anyone can help.

  • click on Appearance>>>Editor and open footer.php file in editor and check for your self if you have that code in bottom.

    ok, thanks, I found it. Here’s what’s there

    ‘menufooter’ ) ); ?>
    <div style=”clear:both;”></div> </div>
    </div><!– #colophon –>
    <div style=”clear:both;”></div>
    <?php wp_footer(); ?>
    </div><!– #footer –>
    <? if ($rich_analyticsfooter == “true”) { echo stripslashes ($rich_analyticscode); } ?>

    I wonder why the plugin developer is telling me it’s not there. Is there something wrong with the code?
