 * Hi folks.
    I’ve finally upgraded to the latest version of WP after running 2.3.3
   for waaay too long.
 * I now find that there are some minor alignment issues with my current theme.
   Rather than try to describe these, here’s a link to my blog (pls scroll down
   to the very bottom, and the alignment problem will be evident): [The Boomtown Rap](http://theboomtownrap.perthpunk.com/wordpress/)
 * I guess this is something correctable by modding the CSS, but I wouldn’t have
   a clue where to find the file or whatever that the CSS is in, or how to change
   it. Can anyone give me a clue, perchance?
 * PS: I know a simple solution would be to change to another theme, but I like
   this one, and would prefer to keep it if possible. That said, this alignment
   imperfection is bugging me, so if I can’t fix it, I suppose I’ll have to try
   another theme.

 * you have [unclosed `<div>`‘s](http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Ftheboomtownrap.perthpunk.com%2Fwordpress%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0&ss=1)
   and other tags- look near bottom of errors

 * Thanks samboll, but just wondering: what do all these ‘errors’ mean – that this
   design is seriously flawed? Maybe if it’s that riddled with errors I do need
   to change skins?!
 * Also, which file would I find those unclosed <div>s in, please?

 * Looks like the theme is partly at fault, so you’d need to go through index.php
   and any other posts template file to fix the errors. There’s some evidence that
   the theme’s been customised and non-XHTML markup added (such as `<center>`).
   Then there are markup errors in the content of some of the Text widgets, so they
   would need sorting too if you wanted to get rid of as many validation errors
   as possible.

 * Thanks, esmi, but I haven’t a clue about php.
 * You’re right. I have done a little bit of customising (someone helped me through
   it, I think from one of these forums) – just aligning some of the stuff in the
   sidebar and changing hyperlink and hover font colour, from memory.
 * The Text widgets you refer to – what are they? Would that be to do with some
   plugin I’ve added, or something inherent in the skin design?
 * Cheers

 * Admin/Appearance/Widgets. The code you’ve pasted in for 3rd party forms etc contains
   validation errors.

 * OK, ta esmi. Do you think it might be worthwhile deleting my current sidebar
   widgets, then reinstalling them from the ones available on the updated version
   of WP? Just thinking some of the ones currently being used might be old, and
   less than fully compatible with WP 2.8.4?
 * Cheers
