Theft of Our Calendar info

    We have an events calendar plugin and another site is stealing our info (we tested it with a bogus event and it immediately appeared on their site wimberley.info). Is there any security feature in EC that we can use to prevent this? Seems like it may be a security breach or other issue.

    Hi there,

    Unfortunately, there’s no good method to avoid that, and that’s also not an issue/security breach at all.

    Websites are HTML documents where all the information is publicly listed on the page so any web crawler software can read or copy the content on a page. There ara some scripts available on the internet to block people from copying content from a website, but that only prevent humans trying to copy and paste (and they can still see the original HTML and copy anyway).
